About Me

I am a designer, educator, and creative technologist passionate about empowering other designers to expand their skills into new territories. My journey into design education began after years of working as a product designer, where I repeatedly encountered the gap between design vision and technical implementation. I realized that designers who understand even basic coding principles can communicate more effectively with developers, prototype their ideas more convincingly, and ultimately have greater impact on the products they help create.

My teaching philosophy centers on making technical concepts accessible and approachable for creative professionals. I believe that designers do not need to become expert programmers, but they do benefit enormously from understanding how their design decisions translate into code. I focus on practical, hands-on learning that builds confidence through experimentation and iteration rather than overwhelming students with theory.

Over the years, I have developed courses and workshops that bridge design and technology, always seeking tools and methods that lower barriers to entry. When AI-assisted coding tools emerged, I immediately recognized their potential to revolutionize how designers prototype and communicate their ideas. I have dedicated significant time to exploring these tools, understanding their strengths and limitations, and developing teaching methods that help designers leverage them effectively.

My background spans both agency and startup environments, giving me perspective on diverse design challenges and workflows. I have worked on products ranging from consumer apps to enterprise software, always advocating for user-centered design approaches. This real-world experience informs my teaching, ensuring that what I share reflects actual professional practices rather than purely academic concepts.

I am committed to creating inclusive learning environments where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing at their own pace. My goal is not just to teach specific tools but to cultivate adaptable mindsets that will serve designers throughout their careers as technology continues to evolve.
