I am an entrepreneur, physician, and futurist dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations to create bold, exponential solutions to humanity’s greatest challenges. My work sits at the intersection of technology, innovation, and abundance thinking, and I have spent decades building platforms that enable visionaries to turn audacious ideas into reality. I founded the XPRIZE Foundation, which designs and operates incentive competitions to solve global problems, and cofounded Singularity University, an institution focused on educating leaders about exponential technologies and their potential to transform industries and societies.
My background in engineering and medicine shaped my approach to problem-solving and my belief that technology can be leveraged to improve lives at scale. I earned degrees from MIT and Harvard Medical School, and throughout my career I have been driven by a conviction that scarcity is contextual and that abundance is achievable through innovation and entrepreneurial action. I have launched more than twenty companies across sectors including space exploration, longevity, and digital health, always guided by the principle that bold thinking combined with strategic execution can unlock extraordinary outcomes.
I am passionate about helping entrepreneurs and changemakers overcome the mental and practical barriers that prevent them from realizing their visions. My teaching and writing focus on cultivating abundance thinking, mastering exponential technologies, and building the confidence to pursue moonshot goals. I have authored several books exploring these themes and regularly speak to audiences around the world about the future of innovation, the power of purpose-driven entrepreneurship, and the strategies needed to thrive in an era of rapid change.
